CC-Link Family Network Technology

With the rise of factory automation and the increasing complexity of production lines in the 1990s, demand for industrial networks to connect various devices emerged.
"CC-Link" was born in response to this demand, and CC-Link Family has since evolved in three stages.
In 2000, “CC-Link”, a serial communication-based network, was released as the “1st Generation”, and in 2008, “CC-Link IE”, an industry 1G bps Ethernet-based network, was released as the “2nd Generation”, achieving a dramatic increase in the volume of data and expanding the range of applications from the field level to the controller level.
Furthermore, in response to the growing demand from the market for smart factories, in 2018, as the “third generation”, we published the specifications for “CC-Link IE TSN”, which is the world's first to adopt TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) technology.
CLPA will continue to promote technological innovation for CC-Link IE TSN together with our partners and our Board Members to bring technological innovation to "CC-Link IE TSN", and will further expand the truly open industrial network that accelerates the realization of smart factories globally.
