LE7-40GU-L形テンションコントローラはLX7-F/LX-TD/LX-TD-928形張力検出器と併用され、長尺材の巻出し、中間軸、巻取りにおける材料の張力を自動制御するための制御装置です。
パウダクラッチ/ブレーキ、ヒステリシスクラッチ/ブレーキ、サーボモータ（トルクモード）、エアクラッチ/ブレーキ等のアクチュエータが使用可能であり、DC24V系クラッチ/ブレーキに対するパワーアンプや補助電源も内蔵されています。 またLE7-DCA 形巻径演算オプションを使用してフィードフォワード/フィードバック複合制御やオープンループ制御を行うこともできます。
