The CC-Link Partner Association, an association promoting the industrial open network "CC-Link" (CLPA, Chairman: Emeritus Professor Takashi Sekiguchi of Yokohama National University, Board of directors: IDEC Corporation, Digital Electronics Corporation, NEC Corporation, Sumitomo 3M Limited, Cognex K.K., Shanghai Electric Ryoden Energy Saving and Control Technology Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation), would like to announce that Balluff GmbH, a major industrial sensor manufacturer in Germany, will participate in the board of directors, responsible for the management and strategy of the CLPA. The participation of this world-famous company for sensors in designing the business plan for the CLPA will lead to an expansion of the lineup of CC-Link-compatible sensors. Additionally, this will also lead to a rise in the awareness of CC-Link in Europe.

Balluff is a global sensor manufacturer and has its headquarters in Neuhausen, Germany. Balluff is famous especially for industrial sensors for automation in production sites. This company has production bases in 8 locations and sales offices in over 50 territories. It is rapidly growing and its sales are increasing at a high double digit rate. In the Asian markets such as Korea, Taiwan, and China as well as in Europe, it has a strong presence.

Balluff became a member of the CLPA in 2008 and has developed and promoted CC-Link-compatible sensors and other products. The CLPA requested Balluff to join the board of directors to enhance the lineup of sensor-related products. They gave us a willing consent to the request and will be involved in the operation of the CLPA, taking the initiative as the eighth member of the board of directors.

The board of directors of the CLPA is the core organization that is responsible for key decision-making at the CLPA.
"Shanghai Electric Ryoden Energy Saving and Control Technology Co., Ltd." (SERT) in China was the previous member to join in June, 2012, now followed by Balluff.
The participation of Balluff in the board of directors, will emphasize plans for increasing CC-Link-compatible sensor products,where Balluff is especially influential. We will also increase the awareness of CC-Link in Europe where Balluff has its headquarters.
